Awesome but it jumpscared me
Installing was easy operation was to. But had a lil jump when I looked through my Nod and I thought it blemmed using my IR function but my tube was fine it was just the product of the eclipse. Function still does as it intended and will continue to use.

Amazing quality.
My first experience with the tarsier was using one on a PVS-14 about 7 years ago. I recently purchased a PVS-31A and needed these for sure. It’s definitely needed using dual tubes, will purchase another when I buy a backup 14.

Perfect product
Yeah, these are really nice. You can adjust the outer rings with analog night vision it’s nice to be able to have them preset, depending on whether you’re living in the city or living in the country obviously the darker it is the more you’re gonna have to open them up, but in the city, there’s enough amounts of light and sometimes if you need to adjust them, it’s just a matter of turning the outer ring great product

Tarsier Eclipse
I love the eclipse, it’s simple and very sturdy. And yes they make them for the Pvs-14!! Definitely worth it!

7 year update :D
So I have been running this for 7 years now. WOW how time flies saw these other reviews and saw my first one all the way back from 2017 ! I have tried the DIY ones anyone who thinks it’s the same is only fooling themselves. I have been using these for a long time now and they still work smooth with 0 issues. I don’t know if time has worn mine in or what but I don’t have issues with the focus knob turning and I can’t imagine not having this on my unit. These allow you to adjust the amount of light coming in just like a manual gain. They protect the unit . They absolutely will let you see close in and help with ambient lighting. As for the construction and quality it’s been 7 years ! This is the single best thing I have bought for my NVD and has allowed me to do things in a way that you just can’t match. If you want quality and the real deal there is NO SUBSTITUTE. I’ve seen the ****** poor man ones hard pass Amazon nice try.Thank you Matbock the OG that brought this to market and did it right.

Not bad
I'm on SWAT and have used Eclipse several times in training and real operations on my PVS-14. There is an obvious difference when seeing close and far distances where I would normally have to adjust the focus on the NVG. This is advertised and expected. My critique is adjusting the rapid adaptation to ambient light by turning the adjustment ring, and opening or closing the iris. On several occasions, I've tried turning the adjustment ring, and it changes my focus instead of opening the iris. Other times, I'm trying to close the iris to adjust for light and I'm spinning the adjustment ring 360 degrees and it's closing very slowly. So I know I'm going in the correct direction to close the iris, but it's taking a few more turns of the ring to get it completely closed. Overall, I really like the Eclipse and its function. I'm going to continue using and working with it under NVG scopes and optics.

Great product and awesome customer service

Tarsier is true.
Added the Tarsier and it works like advertised. So much better now. Highly recommneded.

It’s pure *******
Not only do you look like a straight ninja while going through the Wendy’s drive thru, but they work great. Seriously though, these are pretty awesome and super handy for all applications in NV especially in Nav.

Unimpressed
I’ve given these a run for the past couple of nights out. For the price of the system it doesn’t work. I have high spec hardware and these have been a huge pain to dial in and keep stable. Loose fitting on the tube requires you to make your own better connection. Poor adjustability. Very poor light allowance when in zero light situations. For the price, and a 20% restock and paying shipping both ways….steer clear.

What device did you put these on?

Great product
I should have bought these a long time ago! Great product with amazing capabilities.

Tarsier Eclipse
It’s a must have! I have it on my PVS15 & PVS31. Don’t settle for some cheap Chinese junk that’s “just as good”.

Beyond pleased with the Tarsier Eclipse!
I honestly can’t express in words how much better this product is over some of the other “3D printed” designs I have seen and tested for personal use. The plastic ones I have tried have broken, have been inconsistent in build quality and just aren’t up to par with some of the prices that are being charged. These Matbocks are fantastic! The glass is of quality, the rotation is buttery smooth with no chance of opening up on their own, they are just incredible. I know they are expensive, but the quality and the ruggedness is enough to actually put my mind at ease if I bumped my lenses. They definitely add a layer of protection that I didn’t see with some other inferior products and obviously have the benefit of the up-close focus. Thank you guys so so much!

Matbock Tarsier Eclipse.
Amazing that is all.

Neat idea, but…
Pretty neat that this works to keep things in focus at near and far distances without having to readjust the NV focus. It’s does come at a cost of losing some intensity though. My problem with it and why I’ve given it 3 stars is that it is very tough to adjust it without messing up the NV focus because the lever doesn’t operate smoothly. They recommended Teflon lubricant (not included) but if this is a know issue, then it should be included. For the price it should not have this issue.

Actually works.
It’s great. It does actually what I need it to do. Instead of being able to see 100% clarity far and 0% up close. You can always see about 95% clarity far and 100% clarity close without having to adjust. It helps switching back from Map to the terrain, notebook to people etc.
