These things are very well made and sharp!
Best Enhancement for Your Night Vision System.
The Tarsier Eclipse is a wonderful invention for elevating the capabilities of standard night vision systems. On a cloudless night or 1/2 moon or better, one's depth of field / focus can be greatly enhanced. Having used the systems for several months now, I can confidently recommend them to others. An added bonus, the eclipse system also serves as a secondary lens covering, adding just a bit more protection for your investment.
Required for any Gen 3 tubes especially if you're a memer and want to fill out your Minions cosplay with your nods.
This is my second tarsier I have a dual pvs14 setup with Panobridge I had originally got a tarsier for my 14, tried a copy on my second tube ended up with another tarsier the protection alone is worth it, as well as how well they work ! Great products
must have item
Even though I am just a hobbist, I immediately realized the pros of the Tarsier Eclipse. Want to focus on your watch AND watch things in the diustance? Then its a must have item! Customer service was very good too.
Great, but could be excellent
The Tarsier is a great option for a sacrificial lens and for depth of field. The unit is stiff and this keeps it from adjusting on its own. The drawback is that is will change the focus if you don’t keep a thumb on the part over the focus ring. If there was a nubs/ridge on both sides to allow left or right hand manipulation while keeping the original focus it would be excellent. Overall, especially for the price I paid, it is a great addition to the PVS-14.
Kristopher, Thanks for the feedback. They shouldn't inadvertently adjust the NVG focus. Most likely they just need to be broken in or they might need some more dry lube. Thanks again!
So, far love these tarsier. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it.
Excellent piece of kit
Excellent piece of kit. Haven't used it extensively yet but in some preliminary use, does what it's supposed to and elegantly at that. My only minor gripe is that the built-in objective adjustment on my 14 will turn when I turn the adjustment on the Tarsier Eclipse.
Alexander, Thanks for the feedback. Take the Tarsier off the NVGs and rotate the iris aa bunch of times to help break them in. We use a dry teflon lube during assembly, which might just need to get moved around. Ultimately, they shouldn't mess with your NVG focus (that is unless your NVG focus is extremely loose already). Thanks MATBOCK
What a differance
Fast shipping and this product couldn't be any better
Bought Tassier for PVS 14. Works awesome. Highly recommend
Only gripe is I wish them made them focus opposite each other like Johnny five in Short circuit! Otherwise a fantastic product!
Hands down the best piece of kit you can get for your NVD. Serves as a daytime cap, sac lens and most importantly a super fast refocusing device that is adaptable to any lighting condition
High quality product. Makes up close work possible without messing with your focus. Highly recommend. Customer service is absolutely amazing as well.
Thanks for the great review Brandon!
True Game Changer
This is a absolute must for your NVD. One thing not mentioned is if your running a ABC unit instead of a manual gain is this gives you the ability to tune the light to your needs. When I saw the Matbock Eclispse I knew I had to order one direct from the company that pioneered it. Also awesome tracking info I received updates from the time it shipped to the time it arrived. This is worth every penny don't cheap out just buy it you won't regret it . Thank you matbock
